Join us for our first monthly Shabbat service of the 2025-2026 school year. The service will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, at 7:00 PM at the Oakland Mills Interfaith Center (OMI) Meeting House.

Selichot and Sundaes
Celebrate back to school and back to shul with our Selichot and Sundaes event on Saturday, September 13th. Kol Nefesh members will gather to enjoy ice cream as we prepare for the upcoming High Holidays.

Rosh Hashanah Morning Service
Celebrate the arrival of 5786 with Kol Nefesh. Join us for our annual High Holiday service led by Cantor Stephanie Weishaar. This year’s Rosh Hashanah service will be held outdoors for the Kol Nefesh community. We will also offer streaming on Zoom. Please contact us for details at kolnefeshofmd@gmail.com.

Yom Kippur Morning Service
Join Kol Nefesh as we observe the conclusion of the High Holidays with our Family Yom Kippur service. Cantor Stephanie Weishaar will lead the congregation in prayer, song, and reflection. This year’s services will be held in person in room 100 for the Kol Nefesh community. Livestream on the OMI website will also be available.

Please join us as we honor Shabbat and celebrate Zahra’s Bat Mitzvah at Kol Nefesh. Bar/Bat Mitzvah means child of the commandments. According to Jewish tradition, becoming a Bat Mitzvah means the child begins formally accepting the responsibilities and commitments of Jewish adulthood. Zahra will co-lead the Shabbat service with Cantor Stephanie.

Havdalah and PIZZA! (because of course, rain)
Join us on Saturday night, May 18th. Instead of our tradition of Havdalah & S’mores, we’ll meet for pizza. This is usually our annual Lag BaOmer celebration where we celebrate with a bon fire and everyone’s favorite campfire treat - s’mores! But pizza is the next best thing, right?!
